Console game systems standardised the way that game cases should look for each system so with just a glance you know perfectly if it’s a Swith 2 or a PS1 game, but with computers (specially in the 80’s & 90’s), well, each publisher would pick whatever they feel fit the project and would put it apart from other rival games… that’s not to say there wasn’t any standard, cassettes or disks had their standardised cases and were used more often than not by publishers but not always, and that’s the important part, I’m going to show up some of these more unique game boxes (specially Spanish ones) like i did with Lorna some time ago. Let’s take a look to Viaje al Centro de la Tierra by Topo Soft, with a wonderful cover done by Azpiri.

As far as I’m aware there were 2 different game boxes (well, it was also included in some game packs). The first edition was in a larger format with a manual with illustrations and a wonderful poster of the cover of the game.

For a later release Topo Soft used a double tape case, which allowed a larger cover illustration and manual (this time without any illustration) than in a normal tape case.
