Recently it has been NeoGeo 30th anniversary and SNK has decided to celebrate it by releasing SNK Gals Fighters (a NeoGeo Pocket Color game, don’t ask me why but i won’t complain!), one of the most charming fighting games ever. It only has 11 fighters, (8 + 3 secret characters) which wasn’t too much even for NeoGeo Pocket games, but makes for it with plenty of charm!. SNK Gals Fighters is by all means what inspired SNK Heroines, but they are quite different… while with SNK Heroines tried to simplify fighting games and adding some sexy and cute elements while at it, SNK Gals Fighters isn’t that different from KOF or Fatal Fury but with a layer of cutesy over it that fits like a glove for a NG Pocket game!.

Just like with “Samurai Shodown! 2“, the emulator includes a selectable screen filter that try to emulate (and very well if you ask me) how a NeoGeo Pocket Color game really looked. Sometimes this filters doesn’t show up very well in videos compared to watching directly a Switch. The first video is gameplay with Mai Shiranui and the screen filter activated, the second one is gameplay with Shermie without that filter.
